Through the present Writ Petition, the Petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to accept the surrender of Customs Bonded Warehouse Licence No.001/2016 dated 19.07.2016 in respect of the Okhla Warehouse. 2. The Petitioner claims to be operating two Customs Public Bonded Warehouses, one at Faridabad and the other at Okhla. The Faridabad Warehouse was searched by the officers of SIIB on 06.07.2020, while the Okhla Warehouse was searched on 09.07.2020, during which imported alcoholic beverages were found stored therein. The Petitioner claims that the investigation was concluded by the investigating agency vide communication dated 23.07.2025 and that the Petitioner paid duty, interest and penalty totalling Rs.54,49,781/-. 4. Learned counsel appearing for the Respondents, on instructions, submits that certain liability of the Petitioner is still pending and that, upon the Petitioner clearing the same, the request of the Petitioner for surrender of the Customs Bonded Warehouse Licence in respect of the Okhla Warehouse would be considered. 5. The Respondents shall communicate to the Petitioner the details of the pending liability, if any, within a period of one week from today. Thereupon, the Petitioner shall clear the said liability, if found payable, expeditiously, to enable the Respondents to process the request for surrender of the licence. 6. Upon the Petitioner clearing the pending liability, if any, the request of the Petitioner for surrender of the Customs Bonded Warehouse Licence in respect of the Okhla Warehouse shall be considered and appropriate orders shall be passed by the Respondents within a period of one month thereafter. 7.
