This is an o1ce reference. 2. This Court, vide order dated 14.02.2024 passed in MCRC No. 230 of 2024, while allowing the bail to the applicants, namely, Manish Singh and Shubhakaran Singh, had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN 2 date of passing of the order, if there was no legal impediment. 3. Earlier on two occasions also, this Court had granted extension of time for compliance of the order dated 14.02.2024. 4. The learned Special Judge, (NDPS Act), Bilaspur District-Bilaspur (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 28.01.2026 has requested for grant of four months time for concluding the trial. 5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that summons/warrants for securing the presence of witnesses in the case have been issued through the Nodal O1cer, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Headquarters Bilaspur, however, due to the non-appearance of the witnesses, there has been delay in the disposal of the case. The witnesses have not remained present in time, which has caused delay in the conclusion of the proceedings. The present case was received by the trial Court on transfer on 22.01.2026, wherein the next date already >xed for recording of evidence is 19.02.2026. At present, the evidence of 06 witnesses remains to be recorded. Therefore, it is respectfully submitted that an additional period of 04 months is required for disposal of the case. 6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today. 7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed o7 with the aforesaid direction. 8.
