By this application, the petitioners have sought for pre-arrest bail in connection with Satgaon Police Station Case No. 37/2026 under Section 127(2)/308(2)/117(2)/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. 3. The FIR dated 27.02.2026 reveals that a person called the informant on the pretext of searching a rented premises and when the informant went with him, he was taken inside the vehicle and the accused person along with five unknown persons pulled him inside the car and started making video saying that the informant was doing business in drugs. Thereafter, the accused person and five others have demanded Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs) from the informant with the threatening that he will be handed over to the police. It is also alleged that the accused person and others have assaulted the informant and injured him. 4. Mr. Hawari submits that the petitioners are nowhere mentioned in the said FIR but the police on suspicion have gone to their houses for the purpose of arrest. As such, they pray that anticipatory bail may be granted to the petitioners. 5. Mr. Sarma, learned State counsel further submits that the occurrence is of serious nature and the petitioners are of the unknown persons who are sitting inside the vehicle when the accused person had taken the victim inside the same. 6. On consideration of submissions made at the bar, it is seen that the petitioners were not named by the informant to have assaulted him or to have demanded money from him. It is also during the investigation that the police on Page No.# 3/3 suspicion searched the petitioners. 7. In view of the same, the petitioners be released on pre-arrest bail on furnishing a bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) each with two local sureties each of like amount to the satisfaction of the arresting authority under the following conditions :- (i) They will appear before the Investigating Officer within a period of 10 (ten) days from today. (ii) They will not hamper with the evidence and influence the witnesses connected with this case. 8. Petition is disposed of. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
