The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent No.2 to 4 to issue Road Certificate (Batch number) in FIR No.62 dated 30.04.2004.

As per pleadings, the petitioner’s daughter namely Rashmi died in her matrimonial home on 28.04.2007 on account of consumption of poison. An FIR No.62 dated 30.04.2004 was registered against her husband and other relatives. FSL report dated 09.07.2007 disclosed that metallic poison could be detected in the burnt bones and ashes. The petitioner has sought information under RTI Act, 2005 regarding original report. Chief Chemical Examiner, Government of Punjab, Kharar vide letter dated 06.02.2023 has asked to submit road certificated (Batch DEEPAK BISSYAN 2026.05.20 15:33 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this

Number) so that report may be supplied to her. She has filed representation dated 12.12.2025 to Chief Minister for issuance of Road Certificate.

Learned State Counsel submits that competent authority would consider petitioner’s claim and address the same within eight weeks from today.

Learned counsel for the petitioner agrees to the aforesaid arrangement.
