IN THE HIGH COURT OF ORISSA AT CUTTACK WP(C) No.13245 of 2026 Rudrakshi Rajanandini …. Petitioner Mr. R. Ray, Advocate -versus- Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi & another …. Opposite Parties Mr. S. Mishra, ASC CORAM: JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR MISHRA Order No. ORDER 07.05.2026 01. This matter is taken up through hybrid mode. 2. The grievance of the Petitioner in this writ petition is with regard to inaction of the Opposite Parties to correct the name of the Petitioner in the Secondary School Examination, 2025 mark sheet issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education under Annexure-1. 3. As is revealed from the record, instead of taking recourse in terms of the guidelines of the Central Board of Secondary Education for correction of error crept in the mark sheet, the Petitioner chose to give a legal notice to the Opposite Parties to mitigate her grievance regarding correction of her name, which has been wrongly reflected as “Rudrakshi Rajnandini”, instead of “Rudrakshi Rajanandini”. 4. At this stage, learned Counsel for the Petitioner prays for withdrawal of the writ petition to move appropriate application through the Principal of the concerned Educational Institution as per the guidelines of Central Board of Secondary Education to mitigate her grievance regarding correction of her name, which has been wrongly reflected in the Secondary School Examination mark sheet as at Annexure-1. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of as withdrawn. Kanhu (S.K. MISHRA) JUDGE Designation: JUNIOR STENOGRAPHER Location: High Court of Orissa, Cuttack.
