For Petitioner :Mr.S.Krishna Kumar For R1 to R2 :Mr.M.Lingadurai, Special Government Pleader For R3 :Mr.G.Thalaimutharasu 1 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.10359 of 2026 ORDER The prayer in the writ petition is in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 06-12-2025 for appointment as notary public at Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District. 2.The grievance of the petitioner is that when she applied for the said post, there was an error committed with reference to the date of birth and also the experience certificate was not uploaded and on that ground the application filed by the petitioner was returned on 28.01.2026. When she tried to correct the date of birth in the online portal, it was not accepting the corrections. Similarly, she also obtained the experience certificate from the District Judge, Nagercoil and she was not in a position to upload the same. Under the said circumstances, she has physically approached the first and second respondents and submitted the same, in spite of the same, her application is not being considered and therefore, the petitioner is before this Court. 3.Considering the limited grievance that is expressed by the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage in the nature of relief that is granted: (i)If the petitioner has made an application online, merely because the 2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.10359 of 2026 correction of date of birth could not be made online and the experience certificate was not uploaded online, the petitioners application need not be permanently rejected. (i)It is stated by the petitioner that she attempted to do the same through online and is not able to do the same. She can physically approach the respondents 1 and 2 within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the web copy of the order. (iii)The petitioner by enclosing the correct proof of the date of birth and also the experience certificate issued by the learned District Judge, Nagarcoil, send a physical representation to the respondents 1 and 2 and the respondents 1 and 2 shall consider the same with reference to the online application made by the petitioner by taking into account the corrected date of birth and also the experience certificate and consider the application on its own merits in accordance with the law and pass orders thereon as expeditiously as possible. (iv)Needless to mention that the application of the petitioner shall be treated with reference to the date of uploading of the application or petitioner online.
