Neutral Citation No. ( 2026:JHHC:18242-DB ) IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI Cr. Appeal (DB) No. 670 of 2026 Manish Kumar Mandal @ Manish Kr. Mandal, son of Ramdev Mandal @ Pappu Mandal, resident of Lohanda, PO: Lohanda, PS: Jirwabari, District: Sahibganj. ... Appellant Versus The State of Jharkhand … Respondent --- CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ARUN KUMAR RAI For the Appellant : Mr. Vikas Kumar, Advocate For the State : A.P.P. --- 02/23.06.2026 Heard Mr. Vikas Kumar, the learned counsel for the appellant and the learned A.P.P. This appeal is directed against the order dated 28.04.2026 passed in B.P. No. 102 of 2026, arising out of Sahibganj (T) P.S. Case No. 74 of 2025 by the learned Sessions Judge, Sahibganj, whereby and whereunder, the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected. It has been alleged that two unknown miscreants had come to the shop of the son of the informant and sprayed him with bullets which resulted in his death. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the appellant that several co-accused persons have been granted bail by a co-ordinate Bench of this Court. It has been submitted that the appellant is in custody since 07.05.2025. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant. It appears that from the possession of the appellant a country made pistol and eight cartridges were recovered and the FSL report reveals that the pellet found at the place of occurrence matched with the pistol which was recovered from the possession of the appellant. The same signifies the connection between the murder and the role of the appellant in such murder. We therefore are not inclined to interfere in the impugned order dated 28.04.2026 passed in B.P. No. 102 of 2026, arising out of Sahibganj (T) P.S. Case No. 74 of 2025 by the learned Sessions Judge, Sahibganj and consequently, this appeal stands dismissed at this stage. (RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY, J.)
