Sr. No. 147 HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT JAMMU RP No. 16/2026 in WP(C) No. 1850/2023 CM No. 1364/2026 Naresh Kumar Gupta …. Petitioner/Appellant(s) Through:- Mr. Ajay Abrol, Advocate V/s Union of India & Ors. …..Respondent(s) Through:- Mr. Rudesh Thakur, Advocate vice Mr. Sumant Sudan, Advocate. CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE SANJAY DHAR, JUDGE ORDER 11.03.2026 CM No. 1364/2026 1. This is an application seeking condonation of delay in filing the review petition. 2. For the reasons stated in the application, the same is allowed and the delay in filing the review petition is condoned. 3. Application is, accordingly, disposed of. RP No. 16/2026 4. Through the medium of the present review petition, the petitioner is seeking rectification of order dated 18.10.2025, whereby, the writ petition was allowed and the respondents were directed to release the interest at the stipulated rate that has been accrued on the amount of Rs. 10,24,207/- w.e.f 01.02.2001 to 30.04.2022 the date when the petitioner ceased to be an employee of J&K Forest Development Corporation. 5. In the petition, it has been submitted that a typographical error has crept in the operative part of the judgment, inasmuch as the petitioner had sought interest on the Provident Fund w.e.f 01.02.2021 to 19.12.2022 and not from 01.02.2001 to 30.04.2022. 6. A perusal of the record would show that submission made by the applicant/petitioner is well founded. Therefore, order dated 18.10.2025 deserves to be rectified. 7. Accordingly, in 4th line of para (17) of the judgment dated 18.10.2025, the words and figures “01.02.2001 to 30.04.2022,” are substituted by the words and figures “01.02.2021 to 19.12.2022”. This order shall form part of judgment dated 18.10.2025. 8. The review petition stands disposed of. (SANJAY DHAR) JUDGE JAMMU 11.03.2026 Asif Tantray
