In this petition, the petitioner herein seeks a direction upon the respondents to consider and dispose of the application submitted by the petitioner for implementation of the decree dated 02.06.1988, passed by the learned Court of Sub Judge, Shopian, in a suit titled Mst. Misra v. Ali Wani, and subsequently to reflect the same in the revenue records. 2. It is stated that the petitioner is the lawful owner in possession of land measuring 3 Kanals, falling under Survey No. 374 Min, situated at Village Hilloo Gund, Tehsil Imam Sahib, District Shopian. The petitioner's title emanates from the decree dated 02.06.1988, passed by the learned Court of Sub Judge, Shopian, in the aforesaid suit for declaration, whereby the plaintiff was declared owner in possession of the suit property on the basis of a compromise. The decree was thereafter forwarded to the competent revenue authority for its implementation in the revenue records in accordance with law. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite the decree having attained finality, the revenue records have not been updated in terms of the said decree. It is further submitted that the petitioner has already submitted an application before the competent authority seeking implementation of the decree, but the same has not been considered till date. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would feel satisfied if the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 3, Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, to consider and decide the petitioner's application within a reasonable period of time. 5. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that he is not averse to the aforesaid submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner. 6. In view of the above and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 3, Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, to consider and decide the petitioner's application strictly in accordance with law, by passing a speaking order thereon within a period of one month from the date a copy of this order is made available to him. 7.
