JUSTICE SOUMITRA SAIKIA ORDER 22.01.2026 Heard Mr. S Gautam, learned counsel for the applicants/petitioners. This Interlocutory application has been filed by the applicants/petitioners seeking withdraw of the accompanying writ petition being WP(C) No.7518/2022. The said writ petition was filed by the applicants/petitioners seeking a direction for quashing the eviction notice dated 10.11.2022 issued by the respondent Page No.# 3/3 no.5 against the writ petitioner’s organization. It is submitted that during the pendency of the writ petition, the Government of Assam has sanctioned an amount of Rs.1,91,58,046/- (Rupees One Crore Ninety One Lacs Fifty Eight Thousand Forty Six only) for construction of building namely, “Moran Bhawan” at Guwahati, Dakhingaon, Dispur. Subsequently, another amount of Rs.4,40,51,238/- (Rupees Four Crore Forty Lacs One Thousand Two Hundred Thirty Eight) has also been sanctioned completing the whole project. Under such circumstances, these writ petitioners do not wish to press this writ petition any further and accordingly, seeks liberty to withdraw the same and approach the Court at a later date, if the grievances still persist. Mr. J Handique, learned Government Advocate, Assam, for the respondents no. 3, 4 & 5 and Ms. PR Mahanta, learned Standing Counsel, Revenue Department, for the respondents no. 1 & 2 do not express any objection.
