Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record. 2. By the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks direction upon the respondent authorities to consider her representation dated 14th May, 2025 (Annexure P/3) for grant of family pension in her favour. 3. The petitioner contends that her husband, late Motilal Roy was an Assistant Teacher of Singherbag F.P. School under Purbasthali North Circule, District-Purba Bardhaman. The petitioner’s husband retired from service on superannuation on 31st October, 1979 and expired on 22nd February, 1983. After the demise of the husband, the petitioner made several representations before the authorities for grant of family pension in her favour and lastly on 14th May, 2025 the petitioner submitted a representation before the District Inspector of Schools (P.E.), Purba Bardhaman, 2 respondent No.4 for grant of family pension. However, the sae is still pending consideration. Hence, this writ petition. 4. Mr. Ashis Kumar Paul, learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that matter is pending before the authority since long. He seeks for expeditious consideration of the representation of the petitioner dated 14th May, 2025 in accordance with law. 5. Mr. M.P. Chakraborty, learned Advocate for the State submits that the representations of the petitioner for grant of family pension could not be disposed of due to misplacement of several documents for the reason of shifting of the office. However, he concedes that the matter may be relegated to the appropriate authority for due consideration. 6. It is found from the records placed before this Court that the petitioner has approached the authority lastly on 14th May, 2025. Hearing has been convened on 11th July, 2025. During the course of hearing, certain documents were also submitted by the petitioner. 7. In view of such pendency of the representation of the petitioner, the respondent No.4, the District Inspector of Schools (P.E.), Purba Bardhaman is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 14th May, 2025 (Annexure P/3) and dispose of the same in accordance with law upon notice to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from date of communication of this order by passing a reasoned order. 3 8. The reasoned order shall be communicated to the petitioner within a week of passing of such order. 9. Learned Advocate for the petitioner is directed to communicate this order to the respondent No.4, the District Inspector of Schools (P.E.), Purba Bardhaman, for necessary compliance. 10. With the above direction, the writ petition being WPA 18712 of 2025 stands disposed of. 11. Since no affidavits have been called for, the allegation made in the writ petition is deemed to be not admitted. 12. Interim order, if any, stands vacated. 13. All connected applications, if any, stand disposed of. 14. There shall be no order as to costs. 15. All concerned parties shall act in terms of the copy of the order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. 16. Urgent Photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of all necessary legal formalities. (Bivas Pattanayak, J.)
