1. In the Medical Board proceedings, the nature of ailment is identified as ‘Bipolar Affective Disorder’. It records that the degree of disability suffered is 35% on account of the stress and strain of service, and the petitioner is shown to be unfit for further service in the BSF.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that since the disability was contracted in service, he is entitled for the extraordinary/disability pension under CCS (Extraordinary Pension) Rules 2023.

Learned counsel for the respondents states that the proposal qua the claim of the petitioner regarding his entitlement for the pension, as referred above, is under active consideration, and the same shall be decided and This is a digitally signed order.
