04.02.2026. PB Sl. No.46. Ct. No.32. In the High Court at Calcutta Constitutional Writ Jurisdiction Appellate Side WPA 27716 of 2007 Ayub Khan Vs. W.B.S.E.D.C. Ltd. & Ors. 1. The instant writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking directions, inter alia, upon the respondent to supply electricity of the petitioner. 2. This case is pending since 2007. 3. None appears on behalf of either of the parties and no accommodation is prayed for. 4. Considering the nature of prayer and long pendency of this case, this Court finds this writ petition is not maintainable as the petitioner has challenged the final order of assessment dated 25th September, 2006 passed by the Appellate Authority as per order of the Hon’ble Calcutta High Court dated 1st October, 2007. 5. There is other efficacious remedy to ventilate against such order before the Appellate Authority under the Electricity Act, 2013. 2 6. With the above observation, the writ petition being WPA 27716 of 2007 is dismissed. Connected applications, if any, are also, thus, disposed of. 7. Liberty is granted to the petitioner to challenge the final assessment order before the appropriate authority in accordance with law, if so advised. 8. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. 9. Interim order, if any, stands vacated. 10. All parties are to act on a server copy of this order duly down loaded from the official website of this Court. (Ajay Kumar Gupta, J.)
