The institution of this writ petition is with very specific relief related to the recurring grievance of the petitioners in particular the petitioner No. 1 who has executed a Gift Deed dated 12.05.2026, thereby effecting gift of a parcel of land in favour of none else than his own son the petitioner No. 2. 2. Said gift deed as an instrument duly complete in all respect availing the exemption from the stamp duty payment on account of S.O. 75 of 2025 came to be duly presented for registration on 12.05.2026 but till date the Sub- Registrar, Tral, (Additional Deputy Commissioner) Pulwama has come up with no take on the document/instrument with respect to its registration status still held up for the reasons best known to him but adding to the grievance of the petitioners. 3. This petition is disposed of with a direction unto the respondent No. 2 to take a call either to admit instrument of gift deed to registration or refuse the registration in accordance with law with a period of ten days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 4. In the meantime, this Court draws the attention of Mr. Mohsin Qadiri, learned Sr. AAG to S.O. 75 of 2025 which has been shared by Mr. Shabir Ahmad Dar, counsel for the petitioner with this court which has erroneous reference to the Stamp Act by reference to which it has been issued. 5. Copy of this order be provided to Mohsin Qadiri, learned Sr. AAG for this specific purpose. 6. Disposed of along with connected CM.
