This is a writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking, amongst other prayers, quashing of the impugned communication order dated 18.08.2026 whereby the representations made by the petitioner to pay the balance penalty amount of Rs. 50,00,000/- in installments was rejected. 2. Mr. Arputham, learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, states that the petitioner is a running college since 2016 and at present has some financial constraints. The petitioner is committed to make the balance payment of Rs. 50,00,000/- but is only requesting for some accommodation. 3. For the said reason, issue notice. 4. Mr. Prashant, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent No. 1. There is nobody appearing on behalf of the respondent This is a digitally signed order. He opposes the request of the petitioner and states that adequate indulgence had already been granted to the petitioner but despite the same, the petitioner has failed to fulfil his commitment. 6. However, I am of the view, that the petitioner is only seeking accommodation for making the balance payment of Rs. 50,00,000/- as it is undergoing a financial hardship. 7. In this view of the matter, it is directed that the petitioner will file an affidavit with respondent No. 1 stating that out of Rs. 50,00,000/-, the first instalment of Rs. 10,00,000/- shall be paid on or before 18.09.2026 and another one of Rs. 15,00,000/- by 16.10.2026 and the balance amount of Rs. 25,00,000/- will be paid on or before 18.12.2026. 8. The petition is disposed of subject to the petitioner furnishing the said affidavit and the application for Academic Session 2026-2027 will be duly considered by the respondents expeditiously. 9.
