The petitioner has preferred this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking following reliefs:- “10.1 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to call the entire records from the respondents. 10.2 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly pass an order or direction for issuance of Permanent Social Status Certificate of Scheduled Caste (Mahar) to the petitioner in accordance BINI PRADEEP Digitally signed by BINI PRADEEP Date: 2026.03.17 17:46:37 +0530 2 with the Act, 2013 and the order passed by the Collector, Rajnandgaon, dated 06/10/2025. 10.3 That, this Hon'ble Court may direct strict action under the Civil Services Act against respondent No. 4 for not issuing the Temporary Social Status Certificate to the petitioner within the stipulated time. 10.4 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to grant any other relief or pass such other and further orders as may be deemed fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present case in the interest of justice.” 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner belongs to Mahar caste (Scheduled Caste), and has submitted online application before respondent No.3 for issuance of Permanent Caste Certificate/Social Status Certificate in her favour. Learned counsel further submits that the petitioner had earlier filed two writ petitions, bearing WPC No.1878/2025 & WPC No.3969/2025, wherein directions were issued to the respondent authorities in respect of issuance of her caste certificate. She further submits that vide Annexure-P/1, respondent No.4 directed the petitioner through an online communication to appear along with original documents. In compliance of that, the petitioner appeared before respondent No.4, however, her presence was not marked. Subsequently, it was informed through Annexure P/1 that, due to failure and non-compliance of the procedure on the part of Respondent No.4, the petitioner’s application was rejected by the system on 10.02.2026, whereas the scheduled date for issuance of the Permanent Caste Certificate/Social Status Certificate was 12.03.2026. Hence, it is prayed that appropriate directions be issued to the respondent authorities to redress the grievance of the petitioner. 3 3. In reply, learned counsel for the State, on instruction, submits that application filed by the petitioner has not been rejected and is still pending consideration before respondent No.3. He further submits that application filed by the petitioner shall be decided by respondent No.3 in accordance with law within 30 days from today. 4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record. 5. Having considered the aforesaid submission and undertaking made by learned counsel for the State, this petition is disposed of directing respondent No.3 to consider and decide the application filed by the petitioner in accordance with law, within 30 days from today. 6.
