Mr. Y.P.S Dhaulta, learned Additional Advocate General, appears and waives service of notice on behalf of the respondents. The case set up by the petitioners is that they have been elected as Councilors for various wards of Nagar Panchayat, Kandaghat as a result of the election process held on 17.05.2026. Their grievance is to the inaction of respondent No.2 and 3 for not completing election process for the offices of President and Vice Presiding of the Nagar Panchayat Kandaghat. Petitioners allege breach of mandatory provisions of Himachal Pradesh Municipal Act, 1984 and Himachal Pradesh Municipal Election Rules, 2015. Let the respondents file reply within one week. 1Whether reporters of print and electronic media may be allowed to see the order? Yes. 2 The requisite action in accordance with law for redressing the grievance of the petitioners, be also taken within the aforesaid period. List on 28.07.2026.” 2. Learned Senior Counsel for the petitioners submits that in terms of previous order, the requisite action has now been performed by the respondents and election process has been held for the offices of President and Vice- President of Nagar Panchayat, Kandaghat today. The grievance of the petitioner has therefore been redressed. 3. In view of above, the present writ petition is disposed of. Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, also stand disposed of.
