1. This appeal has been preferred by the claimant/s assailing the award passed by the learned 2nd Additional Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Surajpur, District Surajpur passed in Claim Case No. 97/2017 dated SIDDHANT TAMRAKAR Digitally signed by SIDDHANT TAMRAKAR Date: 2026.03.02 16:56:59 +0530
2 08.05.2019, whereby the learned Tribunal has passed an award to the tune of Rs. 2,73,583/- with interest at the rate of 9% per annum.
2. This matter was referred to the Mediation Cell under the aegis of Special mediation Drive launched by the Hon’ble Supreme Court – “Mediation For the Nation 2.0” vide order dated 30.01.2026.
3. The parties appeared before the mediator and matter was settled. The claimants agreed to accept a sum of Rs. 4,75,000/- in addition to the compensation already awarded by the learned Tribunal.
4. The Insurance Company shall make payment of settled amount of Rs. 4,75,000/- to the claimants within a period of 60 days from today. Accordingly, this appeal is hereby disposed of. Sd/-
