On behalf of the WBSEDCL, it is submitted that the formalities for a separate electricity connection require the petitioner to construct a meter room and complete the electrical wiring which has not been complied with. In view of the submissions made on behalf of the parties, WPA 9368 of 2026 stands disposed of by directing the petitioner to intimate the respondent WBSEDCL after compliance with all necessary statutory formalities. In case such compliance is intimated to the WBSEDCL, WBSEDCL is directed to act in accordance with law and provide a separate electricity connection after compliance with all necessary statutory formalities and payment of necessary fees. Liberty is also granted to the petitioner WBSEDCL, to avail of police assistance if the circumstances so 2 warrant. Any payment for police assistance would be exclusively borne by the petitioner.
