For the de facto complainant. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 29 days. On the other hand, learned senior advocate appearing for the de facto complainant submits that the de facto complainant was subjected to immense physical torture repeatedly at the hands of the present petitioner. The marriage was registered in the year 2009 and from 2014 onwards, the couple has been staying together and repeatedly she has been subjected to assault. 2 Learned advocate appearing for the State has produced the case diary as well as the medical report which has been collected by the investigating agency. There are number of documents so far as the medical report is concerned. I have taken into account the period of custody of the present petitioner and I am of the view that further detention of the petitioner in connection with the instant case is unwarranted. As such, I am inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed on the following conditions. 1. The petitioner viz., Ranjit Chakraborty shall be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/-, with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore. 2. If on bail, the petitioner shall meet with the Investigating Officer of the case once a week till the investigation of the case is concluded. 3. The petitioner shall also be physically present on each and every date so fixed by the learned Trial Court. 4. The petitioner shall not leave the jurisdiction of the district of South 24-Parganas without prior permission of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore. The application for bail, being CRM (R) 15 of 2026, is, thus, disposed of. 3 All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
