The grievance of the petitioner is directed against the refusal of the WBSEDCL in providing an electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner. 2. On behalf of the WBSEDCL it is submitted that they have no objection in providing any such connection to the petitioner subject to the petitioner ensuring a way leave for such connection and subject to any other statutory compliance. 3. The private respondent is represented and submits that there is a public road and a common passage. In view of the nature of the disputes raised on behalf of the parties WPA 15918 of 2025 stands disposed of by directing the concerned 2 District Magistrate having jurisdiction in respect of the above premises i.e. Paschim Mednipore to adjudicate upon the grievance of the petitioner and resolve the differences insofar as the demand for a separate electric connection is concerned. 4. In carrying out such exercise the concerned District Magistrate is directed to give a notice to the WBSEDCL and all other interested parties. It is made clear that there has been no adjudication on the merits of the case and all issues are left open for the District Magistrate to decide in accordance with law. 5. In reply, it is submitted on behalf the petitioner that they have right of easement in respect of the common passage and the submissions made on behalf of the private respondents are ill-motivated and for extraneous considerations.
