involving the cousin of Petitioner No. 1, wherein Respondent No. 2 was accused of offences punishable under Sections 354/354-D of the IPC. The parties belong to the same village and share long-standing social and communal ties. With the intervention of their well-wishers and senior members of the society, the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will and without any force, coercion or undue influence. The settlement was reduced into writing by way of a Memorandum of Settlement- cum-Understanding dated 23.03.2026.
6.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that, in terms of the settlement arrived at between the parties, a total sum of Rs.13,00,000/- (Rupees Thirteen Lakhs only) was agreed to be paid to Respondent No. 2 in full and final settlement of all her claims. Nothing further remains to be paid or pursued by either party.

9. In view of the fact that the parties have amicably resolved all their disputes, the entire settlement amount has been paid and Respondent No. 2 has no objection to the quashing of the FIR, no useful purpose would be served by continuing the criminal proceedings. Rather, continuation thereof would only result in unnecessary litigation and further acrimony between the parties. There is no legal impediment to quashing the FIR in the facts and circumstances of the present case.
10. Accordingly, FIR No. 67/2021, registered at Police Station Alipur, Delhi, for offences punishable under Sections 307/120B/34 of the IPC, along with the charge-sheet and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom, is hereby quashed.
11. The present petition stands disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, also stand disposed of.
