The present application has been filed under Section 482 read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (hereinafter referred to as the ‘BNSS’), seeking grant of anticipatory bail in FIR No. 198/2026, registered at Police Station Uttam Nagar, for the offences punishable under Sections 117(2), 333 and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (hereinafter referred to as ‘BNS’). 3. Learned APP for the State submits that the chargesheet has already been filed without arresting the Applicant, who has been enjoying interim protection pursuant to the order dated 27.07.2026 passed by this Court. 4. Since the chargesheet has been filed, therefore, in view of the judgment This is a digitally signed order. Central Bureau of Investigation & Anr., (2022) 10 SCC 51, the Applicant shall appear before the learned Trial Court and since one of the offences alleged against the Applicant is under Section 64(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (hereinafter referred to as the ‘BNS’), which is punishable with imprisonment for a term not less than ten years, which may extend to imprisonment for life, he shall move an appropriate application for bail before the learned Trial Court, which shall decide the same expeditiously and in accordance with law. 5. It is made clear that till the time the Applicant appears before the learned Trial Court and moves the appropriate application for bail, the interim protection granted by this Court vide order dated 27.07.2026 shall continue. The Applicant shall do so within a period of one month from today. 6. The present application stands disposed of in the above terms. Pending application(s), if any, also stand disposed of. 7.
