The petitioner has filed this petition seeking the following reliefs: “10.1 That, this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue appropriate writ/writs, directions respondents' authorities to grant equal Pay Scale 15600-39100 Grade pay of Rs.5400/- of librarian to the petitioner i.e., the same received by the librarian under the Government Medical College, Rajnandgaon from the current pay scale of Rs.9300-34800 with the Grade Pay of Rs.4300/-. 10.2 Any other relief(s)/ order(s)/ direction(s) in favour of petitioner, which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice. 10.3 Cost of the petition.” 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was appointed to the post of Librarian under respondent No.4 on 26.5.1982 and retired from service on 31.5.2022. The petitioner has claimed revision of her pay-scale from 9,300-34,800 with grade pay of 4,300 to 15,600-39,100 with grade pay of 5,400 as admissible to Librarians of Government Medical Colleges. He would submit that upon a representation made by the petitioner, a recommendation was made to resolve pay-scale/ grade pay discrepancy. He would submit that the respondent authorities have admitted existence of such discrepancy in the pay-scale. He would submit that the petitioner may be permitted to 3 make a representation before respondents No.1, 2, 4 & 5 and in turn, the said authorities may be directed to take appropriate decision within a stipulated time. 3. On the other hand, learned counsel for the State would submit that if the petitioner makes a representation before the respondent authorities, an appropriate decision would be taken in accordance with law. 4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the documents present on record. 5. A perusal of the note-sheet would show that a recommendation was made by the respondent authorities to resolve the issue with regard to pay discrepancies but till date, no decision has been taken, therefore, at this juncture, petition is disposed of reserving liberty in favour of the petitioner to make a fresh representation before respondents No.1, 2, 4 & 5 within a period of 30 days, and in turn, the said authorities are directed to take a decision in an objective manner within a further period of 90 days. 6.
