This Court, vide order dated 21.07.2025 passed in CRA No. 318 of ANURADHA TIWARI Digitally signed by ANURADHA TIWARI Date: 2026.02.28 17:14:53 +0530 2 2025, while dismissing the appeal of the petitioners, namely, Bhupendra Netam @ Bhupendra Dhruw, Mohanlal Yadav @ Mohan Yadav and Lakhanlal Yadav @ Lakhan Yadav, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of judgment, if there was no legal impediment. 3. The learned Special Judge/Sessions Judge, Raipur District-Raipur (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 22.01.2026 has requested for grant of six months time for concluding the trial. 4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that at present, the examination of 57 prosecution witnesses remains pending in the present case, out of which 23 prosecution witnesses are protected witnesses and the necessary infrastructure for their examination is being prepared. The prosecution witnesses are not appearing despite service of summons, therefore, processes are being issued for service through special messenger. In order to ensure the expeditious disposal of the case, dates are being fixed at short intervals. A total of 67 prosecution witnesses have been cited in the list of witnesses by the prosecution, out of which statements of 10 prosecution witnesses have been recorded till date. After completion of the prosecution evidence, the statements of the accused shall be recorded and, if necessary, defence witnesses shall be examined. Thereafter, final arguments shall be heard and the judgment shall be pronounced. 5. In view of the aforesaid circumstances, it does not appear possible to conclude the trial within the stipulated time. Therefore, it is most 3 respectfully prayed that an extension of six months may kindly be granted for disposal of the aforesaid Special Sessions Case. 6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to secure the presence of the witnesses in accordance with law to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of six months from today. 7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 8.
