Petitioner has filed this petition seeking following reliefs:- “i. Issue a writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ/direction, directing the Respondent Authority to decide the Application of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment (Annexure P-1) as early as possible, in the interest of justice. To kindly direct the Respondent Authority to provide compassionate appointment to petitioner in place of his deceased father – Shri Dhanukdhari. iii.Any other relief/s may be granted to the petitioner, which the Hon’ble Court may deem fit in the present fact and circumstances of the case including the cost of the petition.” 2. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that father of petitioner while working on the post of D.C. Operator Category-II at West Chirmiri Colliery, SECL, Chirmiri died in harness on 25.9.2015. Petitioner submitted an application for grant of dependent employment before respondents on 20.12.2025 after obtaining succession certificate from jurisdictional Court. Application for grant of dependent employment is still pending consideration, therefore, a direction be issued to respondents to take decision on the application submitted by petitioner for grant of dependent employment. 3. Learned counsel for respondents would submit that if the application submitted by petitioner in the year 2025 for grant of dependent employment is still pending consideration, it will be considered and decided expeditiously in accordance with applicable NCWA. 4. Heard learned counsel for respective parties. 5. On due consideration of submission of learned counsel for respective parties, without commenting anything on claim of 3 petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of at this stage directing respondents to take decision on petitioner’s application dated 10.12.2025 (Annexure P-1) submitted for grant of dependent employment in accordance with applicable NCWA expeditiously, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the order. 6.
