The present writ petition seeks setting aside of the show cause notice dated 22nd August, 2026, calling upon the petitioner to explain as to why the services shall not be terminated from SSB in view of the communication issued by Additional District Commissioner, Cachar, wherein it is informed to the respondent that domicile certificate, upon verification, reflect that that the petitioner is not domicile of the said place. 2. According to him, both these documents certify that he is resident of the very same place, which is disputed in the aforesaid show cause notice and as such, he would urge that the said show cause notice is liable to be quashed and set aside. 5. The learned counsel for the respondents would object to the maintainability of the petition. According to them, the same is preferred against a show cause notice and whatever grievance the petitioner intends to canvas can be looked into by the competent authority, who has issued the said show cause notice including that of the documents which are produced at Annexure P-3 and Annexure P-4. 6. Having considered the rival claims, we are of the view that the present petition can be said to be not maintainable as preferred against a show cause notice. 7. The petitioner has every right to submit his explanation to the aforesaid show cause notice, as the said show cause notice is based on concrete evidence that is referred to in paras 11 and 12 therein. It is always open for the petitioner to counter the said evidence, which is referred to in said paras of the show cause notice, by relying on the documents which are produced in the present petition as Annexure P-3 and Annexure P-4 and also by any other document which he intends to rely upon. 8. Keeping such liberty open to the petitioner, we deem it appropriate not to cause any interference in extraordinary jurisdiction. 9. The petition accordingly stands dismissed.
