No. 4972 of 2026 03/19.06.2026 Heard Ms. Priya Saw, learned counsel for the petitioner. None appears on behalf of the State. This interlocutory application has been preferred by the petitioner for condoning a delay of 5022 days in filing the revision application. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is a layman and he was not aware about the dismissal of his appeal which has led to the delay in filing of his revision application. It has further been submitted that the petitioner was residing in his native village and in fact the petitioner has already completed the sentence of six months S.I. as awarded to him by the learned trial court. On a perusal of the instant application the reasons which have been assigned does not appear to be justifying the delay of 5022 days in filing the revision application. No sufficient ground has been enunciated either by the learned counsel for the petitioner or in this interlocutory application which can be said to be a sufficient cause to condone such huge delay. In view of the inordinate and unexplainable delay of 5022 days in filing the revision application, I am not inclined to condone such delay and consequently this interlocutory application stands rejected. As a resultant effect of the Interlocutory Application No. 4972 of 2026 having been rejected Cr. Revision No. 469 of 2026 also stands dismissed. Pending Interlocutory Application stands closed.
