On 20th January, 2026, this Court made the following order:- “1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there are certain defects/objections in the present writ petition and he would clear the same within a week from today. 2. Leave is granted as prayed for. 3. Learned Advocate General points out that this writ petition raises issues similar to those which were raised in W.P.(C)No. 7296 of 2025, except that, this writ petition concerns reservation for the OBCs at Giridih Municipal Corporation whereas the other writ petitions relate to the reservation for the Scheduled Castes at Dhanbad Municipal Corporation. He further submits that even in 2026:JHHC:18061-DB -2- W.P. (C) No. 7296 of 2025, there was reference to the reservation at the Giridih Municipal Corporation. 4. W.P. (C) No. 7296 of 2025 was finally heard on 14.01.2026 and has been reserved for judgment/order. 5. Accordingly, we grant liberty to the petitioner to mention this case once when the judgment/order is pronounced in W.P. (C) No. 7296 of 2025.” 3. W.P.(C) No. 7296 of 2025 has since been disposed of by a detailed judgment and order dated 27.01.2026. By following the reasoning in the said judgment and order, this writ petition is required to be dismissed. 4. Mr Binod Singh, the learned counsel for the petitioner in this petition, who was incidentally also the learned counsel for the petitioner in W.P.(C) No. 7296 of 2025 now tries to argue that the facts in the two cases were different. 5. Apart from the circumstance that there is no difference in the material facts, if this were indeed so, then, the protest could have been lodged when we made the order dated 20.01.2026 after hearing the very same counsel. Since, the very same counsel was also the Advocate in W.P.(C) No. 7296 of 2025, such a protest, if at all there was any merit therein, was to be reasonably expected. 6. Accordingly, upon being satisfied that the issues involved in the present petition are fully covered by the judgment and order dated 27.01.2026 disposing of W.P.(C) No. 7296 of 2025 and by following the very same reasoning, we dismiss this writ petition.
