JUSTICE S.R.KRISHNA KUMAR ORAL ORDER In this petition, the petitioner seeks the following reliefs: "Wherefore, the petitioner most respectfully prays that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to: a) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, directing respondent No.2 to issue a caste and income certificate in favour of the petitioner. b) Pass such other order or direction as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice and equity." 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite having issued a caste certificate at Annexure-A dated 12.03.2021 recognizing that the petitioner belongs to Muslim community, at the request of the petitioner for - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:24695 WP No. 13801 of 2026 renewal/issuance of fresh caste certificate in favour of the petitioner having been rejected vide Annexure-G, the petitioner is before this Court by way of the present petition. 3. Per contra, learned AGA submits that if reasonable time is granted, respondent No.2 would re-consider the request of the petitioner for renewal/issuance of a fresh caste certificate in accordance with law. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is due to submit the documents, which have been called for, for the purpose of KPSC examination, which is scheduled to be conducted on 18.05.2026, and as such, there is urgency in the matter. 5. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, I deem it just and appropriate to dispose of this petition directing the concerned respondent to address the grievances of the petitioner and consider her request for renewal/issuance of fresh caste certificate in favour of the petitioner without reference to Annexure-G, in accordance with law on or before 15.05.2026. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:24695 WP No. 13801 of 2026 Subject to the aforesaid directions, the petition stands disposed off.
