By this petition, petitioners herein are seeking direction upon respondents to finalize the applications submitted by the petitioners for assignment of New Registration Marks on their vehicles bearing No. CH01BW0810 (Petitioner No. 1) and DL12CJ8570 (Petitioner No. 2), with a further direction to register the vehicles of the petitioners bearing Chassis No. MA3JMT81SKD146392 and Engine No. K12MN4570877, Vehicle type Maruti Suzuki Wagon R (Petitioner No.1) and the vehicle bearing Chassis No. MAJAXXMRKAGB42975 and Engine No. GB42975 (Petitioner No.2), vehicle type Ford Ecosport and assign new registration marks to them. 2. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioners that in terms of the judgment dated 29.04.2021, passed in WP(C) No. 669/2021, titled „Zahoor Ahmad Bhat v. Government of JK and Ors.’, petitioners herein had preferred applications, dated 24.12.2025 and 03.04.2026, before ARTO Pulwama, however, the said applications have not been considered till date. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners states that he is under instructions to state that petitioners herein would feel satisfied if the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 3 to consider and decide the applications of the petitioners within a reasonable period of time. 4. Be that as it may, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 3, Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO), Pulwama, to consider and decide the applications of the petitioners dated 24.12.2025 and 03.04.2026, within a period of one month from the date of passing of this order. 5.
