This writ petition has been filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India with the following prayers:- “(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of the mandamus to the 1st Additional Civil Judge (Senior Division) to decide the case suit no.559 of 2021 Rajendra Singh vs. Tahira Bimbet and Others expeditiously, preferable within a period of six months. (ii) Issue any other writ, order or direction which this Hon’ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case. (iii) Award the cost of the petitioner in favour of petitioner.” 2. Heard Mr. B.P. Nautiyal, learned Senior Advocate. 3. Learned Senior Advocate contended that the respondent-plaintiff has already been granted 21 1 2026:UHC:1263 opportunities for his evidence. 4. Under the said circumstances, the learned Ist Additional Civil Judge (Senior Division), Dehradun is directed to make an endeavour to decide the Original Suit No.559 of 2021 expeditiously, as per law, and without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. 5. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merit of the case. 6.
