Petitioner has filed this petition seeking following relief (s) :- “10.1 That, the Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the claim/request of the petitioner to update his previous service book in order to get all the benefit for which he is legally entitled, in furtherance of justice. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that petitioner was initially appointed as Lecturer. While working on the post of Lecturer, petitioner has submitted an application for appointment on the post of Lab Technician after seeking prior approval/permission from the concerned authorities. Petitioner became successful, he after tendering his technical resignation, joined the post of Lab Technician on 15.03.2013. Petitioner thereafter submitted an application before the concerned authority for counting his earlier period of service (as Lecturer) to be service period of post of Lab Technician. Concerned Principal has forwarded the application to the higher authorities, however, till date, no decision has been taken, therefore, direction be issued to concerned authorities to take decision on the claim of petitioner for treating and counting the earlier service period as Lecturer to the service period of Lab Technician. 3. Learned State counsel submits that in view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for petitioner to consider his claim within specified time frame, he is having no objection. 4. On due consideration on the submission of learned counsel for respective parties, nature of grievance raised, this petition is disposed 3 of permitting petitioner to submit fresh comprehensive representation before the concerned authorities along with supporting documents and in the event, such representation is submitted, the concerned authorities shall consider and take decision on the representation to be submitted by petitioner in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within further period of three weeks from the date of receipt of representation. 5.
