The present application is filed on behalf of the applicant, seeking grant of regular bail in connection with FIR No. 544/2025, registered under Sections 324(6), 351(2) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (hereinafter referred to as the ‘BNS’) and Section 27 of the Arms Act, 1959, at Police Station Farsh Bazar. 3. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the only transaction between the applicant and the co-accused is to the tune of Rs. 15 lakhs, whereas the other transactions, amounting to Rs. 2,67,000/-, were carried out by the family members of the applicant . He further submits that the remaining transactions, totalling Rs. 15 lakhs, were carried out by his family members in the course of business. He submits that there are no transactions amounting to Rs. 57 lakhs, as projected by the prosecution. This is a digitally signed order. Per contra, learned APP for the State submits that, during interrogation, the applicant stated that he is merely a servant of the co-accused and used to receive a salary of Rs. 15,000/- per month, whereas the transactions from the applicant’s account to the account of co-accused Yogesh Sharma amounted to Rs. 15 lakhs at one time. He further submits that the total debit and credit transactions involving the applicant amount to approximately Rs. 57 lakhs. 5. He further submits that it is the applicant who provided the SIM card to the co-accused for making ransom calls. The allegations against the applicant are under Section 111 of the BNS and Section 387 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. 6. Having regard to the nature and gravity of the allegations against the applicant, the role attributed to him, and the material placed on record, this Court is of the view that no ground for grant of bail is made out at this stage. 7. Nothing stated herein shall be construed as an expression of opinion on the merits of the case. 8. A copy of this order be sent to the learned Trial Court for information and necessary compliance. 9. Accordingly, the application is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, also stand(s) disposed of. 10. The order be uploaded on the website forthwith.
