The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to ensure that no fresh construction is raised in property bearing No. 5655, Kucha Khan Chand, Main Road, Nai Sarak, Chandni Chowk, Delhi-110006 and to demolish the illegal and unlawful construction. 2. It is stated that the petitioner resides in the vicinity of the subject property. The unauthorised construction has been carried out in the subject property by the respondent no.2 without obtaining permission and sanction plan from the respondent no.1/MCD. 3. Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent no.2 on advance notice submits that the petitioner resides far away from the subject property. This is a digitally signed order. Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent/MCD on advance notice submits that a show cause notice has been issued on 18th August, 2026 in respect of unauthorised construction at the ground, first and second floor of the subject property. He further submits that a work stop notice has been issued to the SHO, P.S. Kotwali, calling upon them to ensure that no unauthorised construction is carried out in the subject property and to seize all construction material from the site. 4.1. The aforesaid documents have been handed over in Court and the same are taken on record. Copy of the said documents have also been handed over to the counsel for the petitioner. 5. In light of the aforesaid submission, the present writ petition is disposed of while directing the respondent/MCD to take appropriate action in accordance with law. 6. In the event the petitioner has any further grievance with respect to the unauthorised construction in the subject property, he is at liberty to avail remedies in law. 7.
