CRL OP No. 6173 of 2026 __________ Page2 of 4 ORDER The petitioner apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 329(4), 296(b), 115(2), 118(1), 351(3) of the BNS Act, 2023, in Crime No.18 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail. 2. The case of the prosecution is that when a wrong call was made to the petitioner herein, the petitioner quarrelled with the defacto complainant and threatened him with dire consequences, and further he came to the house of the de facto complainant, tresspassed, and attacked him with a aruval, caused severe cut injuries. Hence, the case. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the victim has been discharged from the hospital and that the petitioner is ready to cooperate with the investigation. Therefore, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondent submitted that due to the assault and attack made by the petitioner by aruval, the defacto complainant sustained grievous injuries on the head as well as on his hands and was in hospital for more than 19 days. 5. From the submissions of the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), it comes to the knowledge of this Court that the injured was in the hospital for a period of 19 of days, which clearly shows the gravity of the injuries sustained by the victim. In such view of the matter, if the petitioner is enlarged on anticipatory bail, it would send a wrong message to society.
Therefore, considering the gravity and nature of the offence, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail. 6.
