Petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking following reliefs:- 10.1 That, the Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to quash the impugn order dated 31.07.2024 issued by Inspector General of Police, Bastar Range, Lalbagh, Jagdalpur, District Bastar, C. G. arising out of Order dated 21.06.2023 issued by Superintendent of Police, District Kondagaon, C.G. whereby the disciplinary authority imposed the major penalty of removal from service. 10.2 That the Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent authorities to decide the pending appeal/representation of the petitioner within prescribed time limit in accordance with law. 10.3 That, any other writ, order, directions or relief which this Hon’ble Court may deem fit may kindly be passed in favour of the petitioner. ” 2. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that against the order of punishment imposed upon the petitioner by disciplinary authority, petitioner has preferred an appeal before respondent no. 2 which is pending consideration since 08.09.2024 vide Annexure P-3, and therefore, direction be issued to respondent no. 2 to consider and take decision on pending representation at the earliest. 3 / 3 3. Learned counsel for State submits that in view of limited prayer made by learned counsel for petitioner, he is having no objection. 4. On due consideration of submission made by learned counsel for the respective parties, I find it appropriate to dispose of this writ petition at this stage, directing respondent no. 2 to consider and take decision on pending representation dated 08.09.2024 vide Annexure P-3 submitted by petitioner, in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably within a further period of three months from the date of receipt of the order. 5.
