19.02.2026 1 Heard on admission. 2 Admit. 3 The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Section 528 of the BNSS, 2023, seeking an extension of time to deposit the enhanced sum of Rs. 3,000/- imposed upon the petitioner by this Court vide order dated 01.02.2019 in CRR No. 523/2005. 4

2 the aforesaid order could not be communicated to the petitioner through the previous counsel. Hence, the delay in complying with the order is bona fide due to unforeseen circumstances. Therefore, further time may be granted to the petitioner to comply with the order of this Court and deposit the enhanced fine amount of Rs. 3,000/-. 5 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the material available on record. 6 Considering the entire facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that the order was passed by this Court in the year 2019, and after a lapse of 7 years, the petitioner has come for an extension of time to deposit the enhanced fine, I am inclined to allow the petition, subject to the petitioner’s depositing a cost of Rs. 2,000/- within seven days from today to the High Court Legal Services Authority and thereafter, the petitioner is granted further 30 days’ time to deposit the enhanced fine amount before the concerned trial Court. 7 Accordingly, the CRMP is disposed of at the stage of admission.
