Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since July 2025 and charge-sheet has already been submitted in connection with the instant case. It has also been contended that alleged recovery in the present case is 21.580 kgs. of ganja. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the whole recovery was from the present petitioner. Be that as it may, having regard to the period of detention of the present petitioner, I am of the view that further detention of the petitioner is unwarranted. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed. The petitioner, namely, Harendra Singh shall be released 2 on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- each, one of whom must be local to the satisfaction of the learned Judge, Special Court, under NDPS Act, Howrah. If on bail, the petitioner shall be physically present on each and every date fixed by the learned trial court and shall not leave the jurisdiction of the district of Howrah without the prior permission of the learned special court. Accordingly, CRM (NDPS) 121 of 2026 is allowed. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
