Learned counsel for the respondents submits that subsequent to the filing of the present writ petition, the departmental enquiry has been concluded and the petitioner has been visited with the punishment of compulsory retirement. Challenging the said order, the petitioner has filed a fresh writ petition bearing W.P.S. No. 4888 of 2024 before this Court, which is presently pending consideration. In view of the aforesaid subsequent developments, it is contended that the present writ petition has rendered infructuous. 2.
