1. The petition is for the following reliefs:
“a. Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, thereby directing Respondent No. 2 to forthwith register an FIR under the appropriate provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, on the basis of the complaint dated 26.08.2026 (Annexure P-1) submitted by the Petitioner. b. Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, thereby directing the Respondents to conduct a fair, impartial and expeditious investigation into the matter and to take the proceedings to their logical conclusion in accordance with law. c. Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, thereby directing the Respondents to provide immediate and adequate police protection to the Petitioner and his family members at their residence, in view of the continuing apprehension of threat to their life and safety. d. Award the costs of the present petition in favour of the Petitioner.” This is a digitally signed order. Learned counsel for the petitioner has shown the photographs attached with the petition and he contends that despite availability of adequate evidence against his wife the police has not taken any action.
3. On prima facie perusal of the pleadings and the material, the Court finds that the petitioner’s grievance has to be appropriately considered by the concerned Station House Officer (SHO). Accordingly, let the appropriate decision be taken in accordance with law with due expedition.
4. With the aforesaid direction, the petition stands disposed of.
5. If the grievance of the petitioner is not mitigated, the petitioner shall be at liberty to take appropriate recourse in accordance with law.
