The Court made the following order:
The Contempt Case is filed alleging violation of the orders dated 10.08.2020 passed in W.P.No.60 of 2020. While disposing of the said writ petition, a direction was issued to the respondent No.2 to consider the representation made by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon within eight weeks. 2. The respondent in the said writ petition / contemnor herein filed counter- affidavit inter alia stating that an amount of Rs.72,89,508/- was paid to the petitioner. 3. In the Additional Counter-affidavit, dated 03.04.2025, it was stated that an amount of Rs.14,63,30,861/- in all was paid to the petitioner and there are no dues. 4. However, in the Reply-Affidavit filed on behalf of the petitioner while admitting that the petitioner received a sum of Rs.37,04,905/-, it is stated that an amount of Rs.31,30,138/- (Rs.7,30,824/- towards balance payment and Rs.23,99,314/- towards VAT Reimbursement) is yet to be paid.
Thus, on the petitioner’s own admission, it received substantial amounts pursuant to the order dated 10.08.2020 in the writ petition. 5. As noted earlier, a direction was issued in the writ petition to consider the representation of the petitioner and in the light of the same, if the petitioner received the amounts in respect of the works executed by it and still amounts are to be paid, he may work out his remedies. This Court see no reason to
