In view of Notification No. 85/G-4/Genl.-I/DHC dated 21.08.2026, whereby the matters fixed for 27.08.2026 were directed to be taken up on 31.08.2026, the present matter is taken up today. 2. The present Petition filed under Section 25-B (8) of the Delhi Rent Control Act, 1958, seeks the following reliefs:- “(i) Set-aside and quash the impugned order of Eviction Order Dt. 02.09.2025 passed by the Court of Ms. Mansi Malik, ACJ-ARC (North West), Rohini Courts, Delhi, in Eviction Petition No. RC/ARC/5337 of 2016, titled as "Shankar Lal Versus Anil Kumar Jha"; (ii) Dismiss the Eviction Petition No. RC/ARC/5337 of 2016, titled as "Shankar Lal Versus Anil Kumar Jha"; filed by the Respondents herein; This is a digitally signed order. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioner, after arguing for a considerable period of time, on instructions, submits that he is not pressing the present Petition and submits that the Petitioner will be vacating the subject premises on or before 31.03.2027. 4. The Petitioner, who is present in person in Court, also undertakes to ensure that a payment of sum of Rs. 5,000/- will be made to the LR No. 1(a) of deceased Respondent No. 1, namely, Ms. Kamlesh, as rent from 01.03.2026 up till 31.03.2027. He submits that the said payment shall be directly transferred into the bank account of Ms. Kamlesh, the details whereof are as under: Account Holder’s Name : Ms. Kamlesh Account No. : 10525719560 Bank’s Name : State Bank of India Branch Name: : Keshav Puram, New Delhi 5. The Petitioner further agrees that he will file an Affidavit of Undertaking setting out therein, the terms as agreed to, and as set out in the preceding paragraphs within a period of two (02) weeks from today, failing which he shall vacate the subject premises forthwith. He also submits that if there is any breach of the terms of the undertaking, he will be liable to such proceedings as are permissible under law, including initiation of contempt proceedings as against him under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971. 6.
