NARENDRA PRASAD ORAL ORDER This writ petition is filed under Articles 226 & 227 of the Constitution of India, seeking the following relief: “Issue writ in the nature of mandamus to the respondent to appoint the petitioner in the Group-C post as per petitioner representation dated 22.02.2024 produced at Annexure-H has appointed Sri G.S.Venkatesh as per the order No.CCC/PSNL/316/2023-24 dated 05.06.2023 produced at Annexure-E and order No.CCC/Legal/2023-24 dated .06.2023 produced at Annexure-G and to extent all the benefits in terms of employees service conditions Regulation of respondent.” 2. The case of the petitioner is that her husband was working in the respondent Bank. While he was in service, he passed away. After the death of her husband, she submitted an application seeking appointment on - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:9731 WP No. 16257 of 2024 compassionate grounds. Thereafter, as per Annexure-A dated 23.03.2006, she was appointed as a Group-G employee. 3. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 09.06.2023 stating that, since she is a B.Com. graduate, her case may be considered for appointment to a Group-C post on par with other similarly situated persons. In response to the said representation, the respondent passed an order dated 05.06.2023, vide Annexure-G, appointing her to a Group-C post. 4. Even though an order was passed considering her case for appointment to the Group-C post, the same has not been implemented. Hence, she submitted another representation dated 22.02.2024, vide Annexure-H. The representation submitted by the petitioner vide Annexure- H has not been considered. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that, if this Court grants reasonable time, the representation submitted by the petitioner vide Annexure- H dated 22.02.2024 will be considered in accordance with law. 6. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the writ petition stands disposed of, directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.02.2024, vide Annexure-H, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, and in any event, not later than three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
