Mr. Swapan Banerjee Ms. S. Shaw …for the State. 1. The affidavit-of-service filed by the learned counsel for the petitioners be kept with the record. 2. The grievance of the petitioners are that due to the cyclones viz. Bulbul in the year 2019, Amphan in the year 2020 and Yeas in the year 2021 the house of the petitioners have been destroyed. The petitioners have made representations to the authorities for consideration of the case of the petitioners for grant of compensation but the authorities have not considered the case for grant of compensation, accordingly, the petitioners have filed the present writ application. 3. As per the case of the petitioners the house of the petitioners were damaged due to the cyclones of 2019, 2020 and 2021 but the petitioners have made the representations in the year 2025. 4. Considering the above, this Court has disposed of the writ petition by directing the respondent no. 2 to consider the representations of the petitioners and to 2 pass a reasoned and speaking order within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of this order. 5. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merit of the case and the authorities are free to decide the matter on its merit including the point of limitation. 6. WPA 21391 of 2025 is disposed of. 7. Urgent Xerox certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities. (Krishna Rao, J.)
