Sri Susanta Kumar Pal Vs. The State of West Bengal & Anr.
Mr. Kamalesh Chandra Saha, Ms. Payel Mitra, Ms. M. Saha, Ms. Piyali Santra, Mr. Anurag Bose
…for the petitioners
This is an application wherein petitioner submits that by an order dated 23rd December, 2025 this Court directed the Trial Court to expedite the trial and, if required, he will conduct day to day trial without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties and to make his best endeavour to conclude the entire proceeding preferably within a period of six months from the next date of evidence. However, learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that till this date only P.W.1 is examined in part and in all, there are 10 witnesses to be examined and, therefore, he seeks for further direction. Having heard learned Counsel for the petitioner it appears that if any order is passed in terms of the prayer, the opposite party will have no cause to prejudice and, as such, service of copy of application upon the opposite party is dispensed with. Having heard learned Counsel for the petitioner the instant proceeding being CRR 327 of 2026 is disposed of with a further direction upon the Court below to make his best endeavour to conclude the trial in terms of the order dated 23rd December, 2025 passed in CRR 3681 of
2025.
2 Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta.
