Registry has submitted that the case file/record is not traceable. Even for the purpose of ascertaining the status of the case from the counsels, this matter was listed on 05.03.2026. As there was no representation, it was directed to be listed under the caption ‘for dismissal’. Even today, there is no representation either for petitioner or respondents. 3. Considering the above and the long pendency, this Court is of the opinion that no useful purpose would be served by keeping 2 CGR, J W.P. No.7808 of 1992 the matter in a state of pendency. However, liberty is granted to the parties to either file a fresh writ petition or seek revival in the event case file is traced out or in the event any prejudicial action is taken. 4. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of without prejudice to the rights of the parties subsisting as on date. No costs.
