Das, learned Counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. K. K. Parasar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam. 2. This is an application filed under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, in respect of Golakganj P.S. Case No.278/2025 (GR Page No.# 2/2 No.1606/2025), under Section 299/196(1)(b) of the BNS, read with Section 13 (1) of the Assam Cattle Preservation Act, 2021. 3. The petitioner is the owner of a scotty and Police found that the scotty was carrying 31.33 Kg of beef flesh (meat). It may be stated that the scotty was not driven by the petitioner at that time, it was driven by somebody else. 4. Considering the aforesaid facts, this Court is of the opinion that the petitioner does not deserves to be detained in custody for the allegation brought in the FIR. 5. Therefore, the pre-arrest bail application of the petitioner is allowed. 6. It is hereby directed that in the event of his arrest in connection with Golakganj P.S. Case No.278/2025, the petitioner Sirajul Hoque shall be released on bail of Rs.25,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the arresting authority. 7. The petitioner shall co-operate with the Police Investigating Officer as and when required. 8. With the aforesaid direction, the pre-arrest bail application stands disposed of.
