JUSTICE DEVASHIS BARUAH ORDER 28.01.2026 Mr. J Kalita, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that during the pendency of the instant writ petition, the application of the petitioner is taken up for consideration for compassionate appointment and in that regard the petitioner has placed before this Court the communication dated 22.12.2025. The said communication is kept on record and marked with the letter ‘X’. 2. Mr. J Kalita, the learned counsel for the petitioner would, therefore, not like to further pursue the instant writ petition. However, the petitioner submits that if in the circumstance, the petitioner’s candidature is not being favourably considered liberty may be granted to approach this Court again. 3. Taking into account the above, the writ petition, accordingly, stands closed as not pressed. 4.
