No. 2 was solemnized on 13.03.2013, according to Hindu rites and ceremonies. Out of the said wedlock, the parties have two children. Owing to matrimonial discord and differences between the parties, Respondent No. 2 approached the CAW Cell, Sector-3, Rohini, Delhi, pursuant to which the present FIR came to be registered against the petitioners and one Late Sh. proceedings arising therefrom. 10. In view of the fact that the parties have amicably resolved their matrimonial disputes, resumed cohabitation and have been residing together peacefully as husband and wife, no useful purpose would be served by continuing the criminal proceedings arising out of the present FIR. Rather, the continuation of such proceedings would only result in unnecessary litigation and may disturb the matrimonial relationship which has since been restored. 11. Considering the nature of the dispute, the reconciliation between the parties and the statement of Respondent No. 2 that she has no objection to the quashing of the FIR, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served by continuing with the present criminal proceedings.
There is no legal impediment to quashing the FIR in the facts and circumstances of the present case. 12. Accordingly, FIR No. 306/2021, registered at Police Station Budh Vihar, Delhi, for offences punishable under Sections 498A/406/34 of the IPC, along with all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom, is hereby quashed. 13. The present petition is disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, also stand disposed of. 14.
